Cardiotachometer
Máca, Kamil ; Číž, Radim (referee) ; Chmelař, Milan (advisor)
This masters thesis describes possibilities of a heart rate measuring. Several methods of measuring will be discussed. The primary objective of this paper is to design battery powered cardiotachometr with a range of 30-240 beats/min and a low battery indication. Cardiotachometer uses the R waves detector to measure heart rate. This thesis is focused on creation of the block diagram, electrical circuit, printed circuit and calculation of electronic device used in cardiotachometers.
System for precise dynamic measurement of bridge sensors
Čech, Jonáš ; Kolka, Zdeněk (referee) ; Kubíček, Michal (advisor)
This master’s thesis deals with design of measurement system for dynamic measurement of bridge sensors. After a short theoretical part, the own concept is introduced. System can provide sampling rate up to 250 kSa/s with 24-bit resolution. The maximum number of samples is about one and a half milion. At first, the design of analog part was made, in this phase of design the digital part is based on evaluation board with ARM Cortex-M7 and external memory. After final choice of appropriate ICs, the analog and digital part will be integrated into one PCB.
Laboratory Measurements of Skin Conductance
Slouka, Petr ; Harabiš, Vratislav (referee) ; Sekora, Jiří (advisor)
This thesis contains an introduction to anatomy and physiology of the skin highlighting its barrier function. The barrier function of the skin enables it to separate internal organism from external environment. thermore, the electrical properties of the skin are described and possibilities of skin conductance measurement are discussed. The thesis presents a design of a device for the skin conductance measurement as the method of evaluation for barrier function. Alternating current is used for measurement during iontophoresis for evaluation of skin conductance. Circuit design and circuit board are included with a list of parts. The designed device was realized and in the end it was tested and the results were discussed.
Design of Input Stage for Bi-Amp Loudspeaker System
Ryšavý, Jindřich ; Hanák, Pavel (referee) ; Schimmel, Jiří (advisor)
The thesis discuss the desing of active crossover for loudspeaker systems. There are described two most common topologies forming active filters and their comparison. Also is there shown way how to desing transfer functions to achieve flat overall transmission, then computing components bases on topology. All that is shown on example. Then are discussed different ways how to correctly receive analog or digital sound signal and handle with them. Example desing is then shown.
Weight Measurement with Bathroom Scale Strain Gauges
Šenfluk, Petr ; Fuchs,, Michal (referee) ; Povalač, Aleš (advisor)
The aim of the thesis is weigh measurement using strain gauges from cheap digital scales. Work describes problems connected with using strain gauges as temperature compensation and requirements for accurate voltage reference and summarize function and wiring of chaep digital scales using four strain gauges. Result of work is design of an electrical circuit for weigh measurement using four strain gauges from analyzed scale.
The low level measurement for determination air ion concentration
Šot, Jan ; Steinbauer, Miloslav (referee) ; Roubal, Zdeněk (advisor)
This work deals with the possibilities of small current amplification to measure the concentration of air ions using the Aspiration condenser method. The work analyzes the connection containing precision operational amplifiers and the air ions measurement method. Two amplifiers, namely an instrumentation amplifier containing an integrated circuit INA116 recording the voltage drop on shunt and a current to voltage converter, have been designed and created to measure ion concentrations. The results of measurement show that using the instrumentation amplifier means lower measurement uncertainties of type A measurement than when using the current to voltage converter.
Strain Gage amplifier
Kneblík, Adam ; Havránek, Zdeněk (referee) ; Beneš, Petr (advisor)
The thesis deals about method of gain signals from strain gauge bridges. There are mentioned some signal conditioning methods for bridges amplifiers and charactered their properties. In the next part of this thesis are calculated the amplifier errors for various temperature. There are projected individual variants of strain gage amplifiers (instrumentation amplifier AD524, isolation amplifier, switched capacitor based instrumentation amplifier), their properties are compared with strain gage amplifier Vishay P-3500.
